With over 70 years of hospitality experience on their side, the boys have finally got hold of The Duke of Greenwich.

Built back in 1868, when it was opened as The Duke of Edinburgh. the pub has had many variations, most recently known as locals’ favourite, The Vanbrugh. With a nod to its roots, The Duke of Greenwich is now open.

The team, whose experience includes the likes of Oblix at the Shard, Polpo, Neptune, Big Easy, The Delaunay, Gauthier and Silo are Jonathan Kaye and the Blucert brothers; Dan and Nick - each with an equally important role front of house, kitchen and bar respectively.

these guys will be bringing the restaurant quality service, food and drinks to the neighbourhood.

Tirelessly making sure everything is running and upkeeping the building are Chartered Surveyor, Rob Humphreys and Engineer, Ryan Vivian.

This enticing 150-cover pub boasts a large garden, where the main attraction will take centre stage; the handmade, bespoke fire cage BBQ and smoker. The bar will be packed with independent and local breweries on tap, with a wine and cocktail list to match.

Executive Chef and Co-Owner, Daniel Blucert is proud to reveal a new BBQ menu, this will include worldwide influenced dishes cooked over sustainable marabu coals and inspired by the late arrival of summer.

Food on offer will be barbecue-style sharing plates with daily changing dishes, whole fish from Wright Brothers in Cornwall and slow smoked, rare breed meats from Lyons Hill Farm in Dorset. Shrub provisions will be providing the vegetables direct from farmers all over the south of England, to be grilled to perfection over wood and coal.
